Strange Tides

Alright, it would appear that Pete is still with us, even though Jack Ellison, his original personality, has resurfaced. Pete, I fear that The Black King may have given you split personalities. The original being Jack, and the split being you.

Jack, if you read, you need to help Pete find Clarice. Try to come up with some way to come terms and work together, please.

Our Situation Worsens

Pete has remembered who he is at last. This is bad. Pete was a reasonable, calm, and pleasant fellow. Jack Ellison, who he was before, is a violent, vengeful, and bitter man. I don't know what happened on that houseboat Clarice and Pete/Jack rented, but I fear for both of them now.

In other news, I found that the rumors of my old professor's death to be, perhaps, exaggerated. He disappeared mysteriously, according to the local papers I found in archives. He must have known about The Black King, somehow.

Old Haunts

Hello, it's been a while, but I have returned.

I returned to the museum where I used to work when I first met The Black King. I looked for the professor I used to assist. When I asked about him but no would tell me a thing except that he died in the time between when Clyde and I left to now. I'm going to ask around.

He advised me against studying Der Ritter, and ultimately turned out to be right. I have to find out what happened here.

We may have just lost another.

Ron has just stepped off the side of a tall building, according to the last post in his blog. For the first time in a long time, I feel remose for another. Damn you, you young idiot. Damn you! Why'd you have to give up and throw away the gift that is life?! So much effort was put into saving you. How dare you!

Well, fairwell, Ron. I hope you found peace.

I have returned.

Forgive the lack of updates, but a few things have happened since I last checked in.

I actually met with and discussed my situation with some of Fisk's agents at an public restaurant (I did not eat anything brought to the table, though). Fisk's policies have not changed, but they are willing to keep Lone Hunter off of me in exchange for all the information I have to offer. Names, places, strongholds, you name it. However, because I am not willing to go silent, they will not provide a safe place to hide me/make me disappear permanently.

The Black King has been on my trail double time, driving me along without pause.

I've been told that Lone Hunter and his new party are not far behind me. He'll probably let in on the details, himself, though.

While encounterng The Black King himself near a small patch of trees, I was saved by a large man clothed in all furs. He's sleeping on his cot across from me right now as we hide out in his sanctuary in a cabin in the woods. You would think that this would be absolute suicide, but I have not seen any sign of The Black King while here.
He says that these conditions are temperary and that we'll have to move on soon.
I don't know who this man is, but he has been on The Other Side. I recognize various bits of trees, leaves, and such from His domain. Who is this man? He won't reveal his name to me, alas.

Funny coincidence.

Lone Hunter claims he just got off the phone with a federal agent. So did I just now. They said they'll protect me from him if I give them all the information I can offer and stop spreading awareness of The Black King.

Well, readers?

Return from another descent.

As Lone Hunter has let slip, I returned to Boston. That's the truth, I did. I needed to go back to The Ruins one last time. I needed to find some clue as to where I could find some answers. I'm leaving this dark place again now that I believe I have a lead.

Come and get me if you can, Lone Hunter.
